Cover Supervisor Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at The Cornerstone Academy. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school by providing cover for absent teachers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality cover supervision in a variety of lessons on a daily basis, using work set by the teacher.
- Support the delivery of learning experiences for all students and maintain an orderly classroom environment.
- Ensure students are aware of learning objectives at the start of the lesson.
- Have high expectations of learning and behavior at all times, in and out of lessons.
- Seek to make learning a positive experience for all students.
We are looking for an individual who is highly organized, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and is a skilled influencer. You will be flexible and have excellent team working skills, with a commitment to your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Experience of a school Management Information System would be an advantage.
You will have confidence to fully engage in being part of the school team that makes a difference to our student outcomes and a willingness to contribute to school life outside the classroom. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
Working Hours and TermsThis is a part-time role, working 34 hours per week (approx. 8.15-4.15 Monday-Thursday and Friday 8.15-3.15). The role is term-time only, with 38 school weeks plus training days.
