Job Summary

The Reliability Engineer position plays a critical role in developing, refining, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to support the Lincoln site's manufacturing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of reliability-centered maintenance programs to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement predictive measures and condition-based monitoring programs to reduce equipment failures and minimize their impact.
  • Support the site's goals for Right First Time and Continuous Improvement.
  • Participate in the design and approval of new installations to ensure maintainability and reliability.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify and recommend solutions to chronic problems.
  • Define and refine preventive maintenance and calibration procedures for new and existing equipment.
  • Contribute to specialized teams supporting Sustainability, Quality, Transformation, and Lean initiatives.
  • Interface with the Zoetis Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for data input and report generation.
  • Organize and manage site projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related field.
  • Professional certification in Reliability/Maintenance engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Reliability and/or Maintenance Engineering processes.
  • Experience in Active Biological Ingredient, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, or Drug Product manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience/education in industrial electrical systems design and management preferred.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to plan and organize work and resources.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and bring them to completion on schedule.
  • Effective use of available software and tools to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Experience with SAP-based CMMS computer systems.
  • Understanding of cGMPs, USDA regulations, EU regulations, Zoetis Quality Standards, and Good Engineering Practices.

Physical Position Requirements

  • Work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Physical conditions include lifting, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional weekend/off-shift work as needed.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
