Position Overview

Bruin is in search of a Securitisation Credit Officer to enhance their second line of defense team, concentrating on Structured Finance and Asset-Backed Securities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Securitisation Credit Team, ensuring effective guidance and development of credit professionals.
  • Make informed, timely credit decisions that align with the organization's risk framework.
  • Act as a senior credit liaison to relationship managers and relevant product origination and distribution teams.
  • Engage proactively with front-line teams on deal-specific and strategic matters, providing expert advice and identifying potential risks or policy breaches.
  • Contribute to the formulation of divisional credit strategies across various products, sectors, and regions, including assessing risk appetite and establishing limits.
  • Manage a portfolio of credit accounts, offering direction to credit managers to ensure high-quality credit evaluations, including comprehensive report writing and decision-making.
  • Enhance knowledge of diverse industries, sectors, and financial structures within Securitisation credit, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Represent the credit division in internal discussions, sharing insights and influencing decisions relevant to the area of expertise.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in credit within corporate or structured finance.
  • Solid background in corporate banking or structured finance.
  • Preferred experience in Asset-Backed Finance, including Securitisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in investment banking, particularly in credit or front office roles.
  • Strong credit assessment and risk management capabilities.
  • Relevant industry experience with a specialized focus in credit.
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit principles, products, derivatives, and risk management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior executives and junior staff members.
