The Team
The Securitisation team manages both contentious and non-contentious legal matters, working in close partnership with other departments within the firm (such as litigation and tax) to deliver comprehensive solutions that address a wide array of challenges throughout the economic landscape. The team possesses extensive expertise in advising on the acquisition, sale, and financing of credit assets and origination businesses.
The Role
The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative, respectful, and trusting team atmosphere, where the quality and depth of expertise are unparalleled.
This role will primarily involve engaging in securitisation projects and assisting clients in the development of innovative capital markets instruments, including hybrid securities, synthetic securitisation, structured derivatives, commercial mortgage-backed securities, new classes of asset-backed securities, and covered bonds.
You will gain exposure to a diverse range of clients within the securitisation sector, including issuers, arrangers, originators, dealers, funders, swap counterparties, and professional trustees.
Key Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will possess 2+ PQE from a highly regarded law firm. Montgomery Advisory is open to candidates who may be more specialized and are looking to broaden their skill set, including those from international jurisdictions.
Additionally, you should have:
- Experience in securitisation projects
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills to foster effective working relationships
- Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation capabilities
- A robust work ethic and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- A strong academic background
- A genuine enthusiasm for this area of law
