Securitisation Associate

Our client is a major global law firm with an established and longstanding reputation in the UK, where they are headquartered.

The firm contains a specialist fintech innovation and alternative finance team which specialises in a variety of differently modelled debt funding deals for fintech clients which have outgrown venture debt. The team's work includes a mix of private securitisations, similar deals outside the Securitisation Regulations, and forward flow deals.

The team is now looking for an additional member. The right candidate will be:

  • A mid-level (probably at least 3 years' PQE) banking and finance Lawyer;
  • Experienced in structuring and Securitisation Regulations;
  • Interested in working closely with clients who are purposeful and changing their industry; and
  • Excited by the prospect of being part of a team that is friendly and curious.

Prior experience of the fintech industry of the specific products the team works with is not required, but you will require:

  • A strong academic background, solid training (preferably from a City or international firm), and black letter law skills;
  • The ability and experience to develop productive working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels; and
  • A commitment to professional development and becoming a subject matter expert, as well as the aptitude to work on technically complicated transactions.

Foreign-qualified candidates with suitable PQE and relevant experience will certainly be of interest. The firm is able and willing to sponsor suitable candidates.
