Job Description

Job Title: Level 4 Software Tester

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Level 4 Software Tester. As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify defects and issues
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and product management
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testing
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
  • A willingness to learn and understand manual and automated testing
  • A desire to learn about testing tools and software
  • A willingness to learn about various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Experience working on multiple projects concurrently – preferred
  • Self-motivated, able to work without supervision and have a flexible and proactive approach
  • Proficiency in Java, UNIX, and Windows
