Job Description

**Production Planner Role**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team at Recruit4talent. As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage the scheduling system daily to support Production Managers
  • Review customer orders and accounts to support accurate and timely submission of financial information
  • Liaise with Sales to determine customer requirements
  • Approve materials, costs, manufacturing equipment, and the size of workforce needed to manufacture
  • Participate in the development of operating plans and monthly forecasting
  • Communicate and explain manufacturing performance
  • Extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions
  • Receive and communicate, in a timely fashion, orders to production, assessing their ability to fulfill the orders
  • Generate and produce a production plan
  • Communicate with customers in relation to orders and check with production that these orders are being fulfilled
  • Advising customers of figures at the end of the day
  • Collect and assess data about production and team's performance
  • Prepare reports about production processes for upper management and suggest ways to improve efficiency
  • Develop broad technical and communication skills through self-study, internal, and external training opportunities
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience in Production Planning within a busy manufacturing environment
  • 5 GCSEs Grade C passes to include English and Maths or equivalent
  • General knowledge of costing, budgeting, and financial information
  • Basic accounting methods and logic
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and administrative abilities
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to collate and present data, and high-level proficiency using PC spreadsheets
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft; Excel; Power Point; etc) and general systems knowledge
  • Determination to see jobs through to completion
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to conduct problem identification and give recommendations
  • Ability to support and foster teamwork for projects
  • Solid analytical skills (logical through process, reasonability, timeliness)
  • Proven ability to prioritize objectives and duties
  • Good time management skills
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Professional attitude with flexible approach to work and availability for overtime when required
