IT Support Specialist

About the Role
Firstcom Europe is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to our staff, ensuring that our IT systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, audio-visual, photocopiers, and telephone equipment.
- Manage IT support tickets and monitor the status of ongoing issues.
- Assist with the purchase and setup of IT equipment, including routers and network devices.
- Install and configure software applications, ensuring compatibility and security.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications and ensure that all processes are followed correctly.
- Ensure the patch cabinet is kept tidy and assist with patching out new computers and handsets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of key products and services, including Universe products.
- Build effective inter-departmental working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Understand and adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Provide regular reports on IT-related issues and activities.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Keen to learn and develop technical skills, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Basic IT knowledge and understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
