About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Solicitor to join our Property Litigation team in Kendal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and assisting senior fee earners on their files. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of property litigation cases, including real property, landlord and tenant disputes, and contractual disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Develop relationships with clients and provide excellent client service
  • Responsible for smaller matters under supervision
  • Draft correspondence and court papers
  • Liaise and correspond with the Court, instruct counsel and experts
  • Attend court hearings and other all-party meetings
  • Provide support to other team members as required and have the ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of management and supervision of junior members of the team including support staff
  • Develop knowledge, experience, and expertise in the subject areas
  • Demonstrate the experience and knowledge to deliver good-quality legal advice
  • Work as part of the team and with other teams at Harrison Drury
  • Promote the values of Harrison Drury both internally and externally
Requirements
  • 0-4 years PQE
  • Ability to manage own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organization and planning skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet timescales and a desire to help develop processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Willingness to engage in business development and help grow the property litigation offering at Harrison Drury
  • Experience of acting on a wide range of property litigation cases, including real property, landlord and tenant disputes, and contractual disputes
