Our Recovery Service in Herefordshire is committed to addressing the diverse needs of our clients, providing support in various locations across the region to enhance the opportunities available to service users.
As a Recovery Worker PSI Facilitator within our Herefordshire Recovery Service, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to enact positive changes in their lives. With a genuine passion for helping others, you will receive support to develop your own skills while working within a friendly and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The starting salary for the Recovery Worker PSI Facilitator position is £24,150, with annual increases in line with our pay progression bands, potentially reaching £28,252 per year based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to our psychosocial (PSI) group work programs, including initiatives for families and aftercare support. As a PSI Facilitator, you will lead multiple group sessions on various topics, assisting service users in navigating their treatment journey.
Utilizing evidence-based practices, you will help individuals access the necessary resources to achieve their recovery objectives. Collaborating with team members, you will implement a range of programs, such as the Managing Alcohol Programme (MAP), Reclaim for non-opiate users, and the Recovery Skills Programme (RSP), all aimed at fostering long-term recovery.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team comprising clinicians, recovery workers, and peer mentors, working alongside various partners in the fields of criminal justice, housing, and health and social care.
Please be aware that this position will require travel to different hubs as needed, necessitating your own vehicle or a willingness to utilize public transport.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess experience in delivering group work programs and an understanding of the theoretical benefits of such approaches. Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques will be advantageous in empowering service users to achieve lasting changes. While experience with individuals dealing with alcohol and other drugs is preferred, training will be provided as necessary.
A strong passion for facilitating change, along with excellent communication and organizational skills, including proficiency in IT, is essential.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of substance use issues and the unique challenges and opportunities faced by individuals on their recovery journey. Given the varied nature of the role, flexibility and the ability to work dynamically in both one-on-one and group settings, as well as knowledge of relapse prevention strategies, will be critical.
