About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technical Director to lead our Smart Water initiative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the technology roadmap and driving innovation in the water industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement new digital IoT solutions in the water industry, focusing on instrumentation, data analytics, modeling, calibration, and software as a service.
  • Work closely with our 5,000-strong multinational technology business to develop and implement strategic solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective implementation of new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Chartered engineer or technical manager with a strong background in the water industry.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, digital transformation, and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as software development, data analytics, and systems modeling.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 2-3 days per week working from home and attending meetings in the Midlands.
