About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estates Officer to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As an Estates Officer, you will be responsible for managing the building and engineering maintenance staff, ensuring maximum utilisation of labour deployment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a large maintenance team and specialist contractors to fulfil works within time constraints and budget.
  • Ensure robust systems and processes are embedded within the area of responsibility, efficient and with sufficient governance in place.
  • Lead training and development of identified staff.
  • Prepare maintenance and plant replacement schedules and technical reports.

Requirements

  • Professional knowledge acquired to degree level or equivalent.
  • Management/supervisors studies.
  • Experience in building services/maintenance.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own time and plan workload.
