About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gates Corporation. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of our plant equipment and process machinery, including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out all work to Company and Legislative Safety, Compliance and Environmental procedures.
  • Be an effective communicator with all team members.
  • Responsible for the electrical maintenance (reactive, planned and improvement) of our plant equipment and process machinery including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.
  • Assisting in training of apprentices, including acting as mentor and defining best practices.
About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in electrical maintenance and a proven track record of working in an industrial environment. Essential experience includes being educated to City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) and being a time-served electrician. Trained to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.

Desirable experience includes a detailed understanding of Siemens PLC logic, programming, fault diagnosis and repair, previous work with Industrial Robotics, and a detailed knowledge of plant equipment safety and interlocking functions.
