Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nurse to join our team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT. As a Band 7 District Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients across Derby City.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of District Nurses, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement nursing services within Derby City, working closely with the wider Integrated Community Team.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leads and the City leadership team to drive change and improve patient care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to support the development of community health services.

Requirements
  • First Level registered Nurse qualification.
  • Specialist Community Practice District Nursing Qualification.
  • Evidence of recent post-registration/professional learning.
  • Prescribing Qualification (V100, V150, or V300).
  • Comprehensive understanding of national and local policy in relation to community health services.
  • Understanding of partnership and integrated team working.
  • Proven track record of leading change and influencing practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership and ability to manage a team.
