Job Title: Wound Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality wound care services to patients in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in wound and leg ulcer management, with a strong understanding of negative pressure wound therapy and pressure injury risk assessment and prevention strategies. You will work closely with our specialist nurses to develop your skills and knowledge in wound care, and will be responsible for assessing, treating, and advising patients with complex wound needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive wound assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex wound needs
  • Work collaboratively with our specialist nurses to develop and implement wound care plans
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure optimal wound healing and patient outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on wound care and management
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving wound care services
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with experience in community nursing and wound care
  • Strong knowledge of wound and leg ulcer management, including negative pressure wound therapy and pressure injury risk assessment and prevention strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
