About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Childcare Practitioner to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to less experienced staff members, childcare students, and parents, ensuring that they are equipped to provide the best possible care for our children.
  • Administer medication to children as instructed by their parents/guardians, ensuring accurate storage and documentation procedures are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our children.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of our children.
Requirements
  • Post-qualifying work experience with under 5's.
  • Knowledge of the Ofsted's Statutory Framework for Early Years and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of child protection procedures and the Prevent Duty.
  • Paediatric First Aid and Food Safety Certificate Level 2.
  • English GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent and Level 3 in Childcare Qualification.
