About the Role

Our client, a reputable chartered accountancy firm, is on the lookout for a skilled Financial Accountant to enhance their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess ACA/ACCA qualifications or have equivalent experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts: Ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Management Accounts: Generate detailed management accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Tax Computations: Handle both corporate and personal tax computations efficiently.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
  • Bookkeeping: Conduct general bookkeeping utilizing cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • Ad-hoc Advisory Support: Assist directors with various advisory tasks as needed.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Familiarity with cloud accounting software like Iris, Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
