About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children and Young People Officer to join our team at Burnley FC in the Community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects and sessions across the Charity associated with healthy lifestyles, mental/emotional health and wellbeing in Burnley, Pendle, and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver on a range of programmes and projects which includes all existing and new targeted Health and Wellbeing projects and sessions.
  2. Meet project objectives and KPI's.
  3. Deliver on an extensive programme of existing and new activities that involves individuals of all ages and fitness levels improving community fitness and wellbeing in venues such as the Leisure Box.
  4. Deliver on targeted programmes which signpost young people and adults to other provision within the Charity and the Community.
  5. Have an understanding and keep abreast of inequalities and health needs that exist in the community.
  6. Work with and build positive working relationships with other relevant agencies both statutory and voluntary, to ensure a coordinated approach to the delivery of services, working closely with the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to achieve this.
  7. Ensure availability to deliver on new and existing programmes linked to Health and Wellbeing including work in Schools and Community facilities.
  8. Work with the marketing team to ensure that your projects receive appropriate coverage linked to impact.
  9. Keep accurate files and records and report impact to the Premier League Charitable Fund and other key funders.
  10. To attend networking events, workshops, conferences, and training sessions as appropriate.
  11. To understand and implement the Charity's Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role.
  12. To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
  13. To work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  14. Comply with all Charity policies.
  15. Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.
  16. Hold a commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.
  17. Willingness to attend training courses to enhance own professional development.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  1. Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.
  2. Maths and English GCSE A-C or Functional Skills Level 2.
