About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our London & South infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering project management services to our clients, working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, both nationally and locally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project management support to clients during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle
  • Lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery
  • Support and mentor project managers, graduates, and apprentices
  • Manage project teams, ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting client and business requirements
  • Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Ensure all team members have current and relevant training
  • Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
Requirements
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks, and programme in a holistic way
  • Infrastructure and project management experience, delivering complex projects
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to utilize current digital tools
  • Highly motivated and with excellent industry network
  • Relationship building skills - ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders
  • Able to work under own initiative, working closely with project managers and associates in the delivery of projects
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant degree such as in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or relevant subject
  • Professionally qualified - ideally Chartered Project Manager Status with the RICS, APM CIOB or other equivalent institution
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management, ideally NEC-accredited
  • Project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2
