About The Role

Job Purpose

The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout the factory, guaranteeing that all departments have the necessary components available as per the production schedule.

This job description is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that material kits are prepared and available for each work center according to the production timeline.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to optimize resource utilization for material flow across the factory.
  • Plan and prioritize resources to align with production schedules effectively.
  • Address any material shortages promptly, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate work centers.
  • Continuously assess Material Flow processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Monitor shortage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures consistently.
  • Promote and enhance shop floor safety by eliminating unsafe conditions.
  • Implement and uphold 5S standards in the work area while identifying areas for improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

Adhere to CDE Group policies and practices and perform any other reasonable duties associated with this role.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a material handling role.
  • Experience working with IFS schedules.
  • Valid forklift and crane licenses.

Essential Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a material handling or kitting role.
  • Knowledge of material flow processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting multiple departments.
  • Ability to kit multiple parts from various sources.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting dimensioned drawings.
