Job Overview:

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly skilled Digital Electronic Lead Hardware Engineer to join our team in Stevenage, England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small design team in the development of digital electronic systems.
  • Produce detailed digital electronic board specifications from product or architecture requirements.
  • Define interfaces and digital parameters, considering switching speeds, pulses, rise and fall times, feedback, and interference.
  • Develop performance criteria and define test strategies to validate and verify performance.
  • Produce circuit diagrams and iterate design where necessary due to circuit analysis outputs and PCB layout constraints.
  • Support detailed design in CAD/CAM implementation on component/equipment level in accordance with engineering design rules.
  • Communicate technical information to internal and external customers, suppliers, and fellow engineers.

About You:

  • Proven experience in leading a small team of engineers, including management of work packages and headcount requirements.
  • Excellent team-working, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide detailed data and information about system elements to enable consistent hardware implementation.
  • Ability to master digital design tools, including schematic capture, signal integrity, timing analysis, worst-case analysis, and environmental constraints.
  • Knowledge of test and measurement techniques for digital circuits.
