Procurement Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Kilwaughter Minerals Ltd. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and executing a best-in-class procurement strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Raw Materials Sourcing: Develop and execute a raw materials sourcing strategy that identifies and delivers meaningful cost-saving opportunities and fosters deep market intelligence within the Purchasing team.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify risks in continuity of supply and market volatility and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Procurement Process Improvement: Develop and implement a centralized procurement function for selected departmental overhead spend to drive synergies, quality, and cost reduction.
- Logistics and Transportation: Develop a reliable and cost-effective framework of hauliers operating UK and Ireland wide, setting the standard for industry-leading service to our customer base.
- Asset Management: Responsible for the company's approved list of leased vehicles and cost-effective fuel sourcing options.
- Sustainability and Energy: Support the delivery of our energy objectives, including ownership of near-term procurement and contributing to longer-term decarbonisation planning.
- MRP Automation: Enhance systems and processes to advance the company's MRP automation, delivering the right quantity and quality of raw materials on time to our manufacturing facility.
- Business Intelligence: Deliver timely and evidence-based information to guide and support business decision-making.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and delivery of our company strategic plan and prepare and present a monthly report for the executive board.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate leadership in promoting a culture centered on health, safety, and well-being, build on our culture of developing the right behaviors, and ensure the team culture delivers excellent levels of customer service at all stages of the customer journey.
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience gained at management level.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Experience in managing incoming supply chains for a manufacturing environment using international procurement markets.
- MRP Experience: Demonstrable experience of overseeing and processing MRP.
- Skills and Competences: Strong leadership skills, ability to work at a strategic and operational level, strategic and pragmatic decision-making, strong customer focus, commercially and financially astute, proven ability to communicate and present solutions at a senior management and board level, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong influencing skills.
