About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Methodology Engineer to join our Central Engineering Organisation at Renesas Electronics. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing common Digital Implementation methodologies across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an Expertise Consultant to our Design teams, providing authoritative technical recommendations to drive business performance through improvements in productivity and quality.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to Methodology Scripts, Guidelines, and Documentation to ensure seamless digital implementation solutions.
  • Partner with the IP Enablement and Digital Place & Route Services teams to develop and support digital library views, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with our Design Teams, providing exceptional service and supporting lessons learned initiatives to identify continuous improvements in delivering predictable and high-quality implementation solutions.
  • Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to improve them, driving greater efficiencies for the business.
  • Share technical knowledge by developing and delivering training to our Design Teams, participating in internal and external conferences, and organizing lunch and learns.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members to ensure knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Conduct proactive research into the external market to stay ahead of technological developments and ensure the company understands the benefits they can bring to the business.
Requirements
  • Typically 7+ years of industry experience in Digital ASIC Design, Implementation, and Verification flows.
  • Strong understanding of Digital design techniques and coding languages (Verilog and System Verilog).
  • Expertise in Unix/Linux Environments and Logic Synthesis, Design for Test, Static Timing/Power Analysis, Formal Equivalence Checking, and Linting.
  • Strong experience with Python/Perl/TCL and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prioritize work, set goals, and meet deadlines, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence based on technical fact.
  • Degree-level qualification in Electronics/Microelectronics Engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the Liberty Digital Library format.
