Job Summary
Renesas Electronics Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Implementation Engineer to join our Central Engineering Organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining common Digital Implementation methodologies and supporting their adoption companywide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Digital Implementation Methodologies: Design, develop, and maintain EDA tool flows and scripts to support the adoption of digital design methodologies across the company.
- Support Digital Design Teams: Provide technical expertise and guidance to digital design teams to ensure the successful implementation of digital design methodologies.
- Partner with Technology Expert Groups: Collaborate with technology expert groups to identify and implement improvements to digital design methodologies and tools.
- Expertise Consultant: Serve as an expert consultant to design teams, providing authoritative technical recommendations to drive business performance through improvements in productivity and quality.
- Identify and Implement Improvements: Proactively identify and implement improvements to methodology scripts, guidelines, and documentation to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
- Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with design teams, providing an outstanding service and supporting lessons learned initiatives to identify continuous improvements in delivering predictable and high-quality implementation solutions.
- Share Technical Knowledge: Share technical knowledge through training, conferences, and lunch and learns to ensure the continuous development of digital design skills within the company.
- Coach and Mentor: Coach and mentor less experienced team members to ensure the growth and development of digital design expertise within the company.
Qualifications
- Typically 7+ years industry experience
- Strong understanding of Digital ASIC Design, Implementation & Verification flows
- Knowledge of Digital design techniques and coding languages (Verilog and System Verilog)
- Expert with Unix/Linux Environments
- Expert in Logic Synthesis, Design for Test, Static Timing / Power Analysis, Formal Equivalence Checking and Linting
- Strong experience with Python/Perl/TCL
- Strong Leadership skills combined with demonstratable contributions to a successful team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritize work, set goals and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills/ability to persuade and influence based on technical fact
- Willingness & ability to undertake occasional international travel
- Degree-level qualification in Electronics / Microelectronics Engineering or a related discipline
