The Opportunity:
This is a full-time, open-ended position at The University of Edinburgh, requiring 40 hours per week for clinical appointments and 35 hours per week for non-clinical appointments.
Candidates who do not meet the criteria for the Chair position will be considered for the Reader role. The job description outlines the criteria for both positions.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A strong international reputation in research at the interface of mental illness and metabolic disorders.
- Experience in designing and delivering clinical trials.
- A high level of research and/or teaching experience, successfully sustained over a long period.
- A reputation for excellence in engaging external stakeholders and the general public in research and knowledge exchange.
- For clinical applicants: A medical qualification (MD or PhD) and extensive experience in academic research, with membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
