Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and caring Health Visitor to join our team at Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with children and their families in the community, providing health promotion, screening, and support tailored to their needs.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Health Visitor to join our team. We welcome applications from existing practitioners who may be looking for a change of location to students who are currently completing the specialist community public health nursing course.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, providing every child with a schedule of health and development reviews, health promotion, screening, and support for parents, carers, children and young people tailored to their needs.
  • Manage a universal plus and partnership plus caseload, working collaboratively with other agencies to ensure protection and the best health outcomes for children and families in Bolton.
  • Work within the community dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of need.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Health Visitor with excellent communication skills and a broad knowledge of working in the community with children and their wider family. Desirable qualifications include 12 months post-experience and a qualification in health visiting.
