Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Software Engineering: Design, develop, and test software solutions for our products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Team Management: Manage the performance, development, and allocation of work for the software team, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Liaise with internal departments, such as sales, procurement, and production, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Documentation: Create software engineering documentation, such as specifications, proposals, test plans, reports, and manuals, to ensure clarity and understanding.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in an industrial software and firmware design environment in a senior position.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience in embedded software development, test, and debug, as well as experience with high-level development languages, such as PowerBASIC, VB, C#, and C++.
  • Software Development Knowledge: Good software development knowledge, including version control using Azure DevOps and Agile development techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing scope or client demands.
Desirable Skills
  • Product Design: Experience with product design and development.
  • Siemens STEP7 PLC Coding: Experience with Siemens STEP7 PLC coding.
  • Embedded Software in Safety-Critical Applications: Experience with embedded software in safety-critical applications.
  • Previous Diving Equipment Design Experience: Previous experience with diving equipment design.
Qualifications
  • Software / Computer Science / Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree: Software / Computer Science / Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant Diving Qualifications: Any relevant diving qualifications.
