Engineering Production Order Coordinator

Automation Experts is seeking a skilled Engineering Production Order Coordinator to join their team in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and make a real impact in the industry.

As an Engineering Production Order Coordinator, you will drive the production order process, maximise the availability of components for mechanical assembly and electrical build, and ensure the parts and necessary documentation are available for technicians to complete planned assembly work.

The ideal candidate will have a systematic approach to work, a keen eye for detail, and experience in a project environment in cross-functional project teams. They will also have an understanding of planning and materials management/control, as well as familiarity with computer-based manufacturing systems (ERP/MSP/MRP).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing production orders to set start and target completion dates
  • Maintaining an accurate status of when production orders are going to be ready for release
  • Monitoring component delivery estimates against production order completion targets
  • Working with the drawing office and electrical design department to ensure drawings & documentation are available for all production orders before the build
  • Issuing complete production orders to the mechanical assembly Shopfloor or electrical manager to progress to assembly/machine build
  • Liaising with the shop floor to maintain an accurate status of production order build and progress
