About the Role:
The Earlham Institute is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth delivery of our training programme portfolio, including managing logistics, coordinating with teaching faculty, and ensuring the successful execution of events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the training programme portfolio and other events, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Coordinate with teaching faculty to plan and facilitate events, including setting meeting agendas and drafting content for event webpages.
- Oversee the operational running of events, including managing logistics, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with institute policies.
- Collect and analyze statistics, monitor event performance, and ensure evaluations and feedback are collected and reported.
- Coordinate post-course evaluation meetings with teaching faculty, including sharing delegate feedback and facilitating discussions for course redevelopment.
- Attend and oversee the smooth running of events on-site, hosting and managing virtual delegates as applicable.
- Produce budget forecasts and monitor event budgets, ensuring financial compliance and reporting.
- Welcome faculty and participants, acting as host at the registration desk onsite, and/or organizing and running pre-course welcome meetings as appropriate for virtual events.
- Support the training programme with IT requirements, including managing virtual attendees via Zoom and providing on-site troubleshooting and support.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual with qualifications or relevant experience in events management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive person with a high attention to detail, enjoy meeting people, have a strong customer focus, and professional attitude. You will be competent with computers, quick to learn, ideally with experience in events management software, and have the ability to think on your feet providing solutions to any issues arising.
What We Offer:
The successful candidate will be offered a part-time maternity cover post, expected to last for 14 months, with the possibility of an uplift in hours to full-time. Salary will be within the range £27,750 to £30,500 pro-rata, per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
