About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Business Partner to join our vibrant in-house Communications Team at Walsall Housing Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact across a diverse organisation of over 800 colleagues, driving engagement and fostering a unified organisational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Internal Communications Campaigns: Create innovative communication campaigns that inform and engage our colleagues, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across all locations and job functions.
  • Support Organisational Culture: Foster a unified organisational culture where every colleague understands and embraces our shared goal of putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with our colleague engagement team to gather insights and manage a variety of internal communication channels. Collaborate with our talented comms team and network of suppliers to create compelling content.
  • Measure Success: Use innovative approaches to measure the impact of your campaigns, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals.
Requirements
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Recent and relevant experience in an internal communications role, with a proven track record of delivering projects that support strategic objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create content that is accessible and engaging.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A good understanding of digital communication channels and accessibility requirements. Experience in managing and developing company intranets.
  • A good understanding of internal communication strategies and tactics.
  • Membership of a professional body (IOIC, CIPR or similar) is desirable but not essential.
