QinetiQ is seeking a Flight Dynamics & Performance Instructor to contribute to the training of future flight testers at our ETPS facility.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering academic instruction on various aspects of flight testing, encompassing general theory, aircraft performance, and handling systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing engaging and informative instruction to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive courses utilizing modern learning management systems.
  • Integrating real-world examples based on your academic and flight-test experience to enhance student understanding.
  • Equipping flight testers with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct safe and efficient aircraft testing.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A strong foundation in aeronautics, engineering, or science, demonstrated by an appropriate degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in aerospace engineering.
  • Additional experience in related aerospace engineering fields is highly desirable.

Furthermore, successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proven instructional experience in the field of aerospace engineering.
  • Familiarity with fly-by-wire aircraft control systems.
  • Practical experience within a flight test environment.
  • A teaching or instructional qualification.
  • Knowledge of DSAT and test pilot schools.

The ideal candidate will also exhibit the following qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
