Join Our Team as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to our LD CAMHS team, working closely with colleagues to develop and deliver innovative services that meet the needs of our service users. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the LD CAMHS team, working closely with colleagues to develop and deliver innovative services.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
  • Assess new referrals and provide consultation to non-medical clinicians.
  • Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations.
  • Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training relevant to this post.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MB MS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • CCT in child and adolescent psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
