Job Title: Cleaning Operative - Day & Nightshift

Location: Glasgow Airport

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate for night shifts

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with a range of shifts between 6:45pm and 8:15pm start, finishing between 6:30am and 7:30pm

Main Responsibilities:

  • To maintain a high level of cleanliness within the terminal building by completing various cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins, and upkeeping washrooms, toilets, offices, and external areas as directed by Senior Supervisor
  • To complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while adhering to company expectations, rules, and procedures
  • To handle hazardous materials properly, use uniform and PPE correctly, and demonstrate safe behavior both landside and airside
  • To maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor towards colleagues, clients, and others within the airport and work location
  • To perform other duties as assigned

Person Specification:

  • Good attention to detail, ability to work independently, and use of own initiative. Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work. Good communication skills and commitment to quality
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a busy operational environment
  • Able to work without constant supervision and follow management instructions
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Full training will be provided

Essential:

  • Provide a 5-year checkable referencing history
  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred, as is experience using a buffer/scrubber drier
