Audit & Accounts Senior Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing audits, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and leading a portfolio of clients.

About the Role
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review management and statutory accounts for a diverse range of clients, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management, driving business growth and delivering exceptional service.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, providing support and guidance to ensure their financial needs are met.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development and providing innovative ideas to Partners.
  • Present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
  • Provide quotes and estimate fees, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting their learning and development.

Requirements
  • FCCA, ACCA, ACA, or CA qualified with at least five years post-qualified experience.
  • Experience conducting audits from start to finish with high-turnover clients.
  • Strong knowledge of current corporate and personal tax and accounting matters.
  • Reliable knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
  • Previous management experience, with a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Commercial awareness, with confidence to provide innovative ideas to Partners.
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
