Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and effective educator to join our team at Wester Hailes High School as a Teacher of Home Economics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting experiential learning, and fostering positive relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Home Economics, promoting experiential learning and hands-on experience.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student achievement and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting mutual respect and understanding among students, staff, and families.

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Home Economics or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality education and promoting student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development of school-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and Home Economics.
