Compensation: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum based on experience, plus quarterly performance bonuses.

Working Hours: Average of 41 hours per week, scheduled over 5 days, including occasional Saturday shifts.

No Sunday work required.

We are seeking enthusiastic Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineers to join our esteemed White Goods Repair Team at Currys. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team renowned for its industry-leading Net Promoter Score (NPS) and exceptional first-visit fix rates.

In your role as a Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer, you will leverage your foundational electrical knowledge while receiving comprehensive training to transition into a fully-fledged Domestic Appliance Engineer role within 2-4 months. Each day will present new challenges and experiences.

Success in this position hinges not only on technical skills and efficiency but also on your ability to connect with customers.

You will master the art of maintaining customers' appliances in optimal condition. Whether it involves installation, fault diagnosis, or crucial repairs, you will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and a friendly demeanor to ensure every interaction is positive.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be tasked with:

  • Testing, diagnosing, and repairing domestic appliances in customers' residences.
  • Applying technical expertise across a variety of white goods products.
  • Driving a company vehicle and efficiently managing your daily schedule.
  • Enhancing our reputation as a trusted home services provider.

To excel in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in repair or installation, particularly with electrical or electro-mechanical products (e.g., field service engineering, plumbing, or electrical services).
  • Basic electrical knowledge, with proven competence in both theory and practice.
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • The physical capability to handle heavy appliances (e.g., washing machines, dishwashers).
  • A valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
