Job Summary:
As a Team Lead – Warehouse (PM Shift) at DSV, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. You will be responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, and ensuring that the team delivers.
- Monitor any issues, and ensure production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
- Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.
- Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate.
- Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals.
- Assist in planning future capacity requirements.
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- The Team Leader will also be expected to act up for management to cover leave and absence.
People Management:
- Manage time and attendance for operatives within area of responsibility and support supervisor with people management issues.
- Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager.
Relationship Management:
- Comply with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
- Monitor performance and absence and carry out return to work and conduct welfare meetings.
Requirements:
- Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases, and a knowledge of warehouse systems.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines.
- GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2.
- Fork Lift Truck licence may be required.
