About the Role

The Supply Planning team is responsible for ensuring a seamless flow of finished goods from our production facilities to our wholesale distribution network across England. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in converting demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize product availability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the planning process for all products distributed across our eight UK depots, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions, proactively addressing any issues that may impact product availability.
  • Collaborate closely with finance teams to ensure alignment between inventory management practices and financial objectives, contributing to the achievement of working capital targets.
  • Mentor and develop a team of skilled planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the department.
  • Analyze complex planning scenarios, such as seasonal fluctuations, promotional events, and public holidays, to develop robust supply plans that anticipate market demands.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and customer service, leveraging your expertise to drive positive change within the organization.

About You

  • Possess a strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience working within complex supply chain environments, specifically in planning and inventory management roles.
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions that optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
