Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Domestic Support Assistant to join our team at Woodlands Care Home. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Empty waste bins and recyclables
  • Vacuum and dust all areas, including furniture and fixtures
  • Shake out cushions and clean upholstered furniture
  • Clean dining rooms, lounges, toilets, and other high-traffic areas
  • Clean taps, sinks, and soap dispenser outlets
  • Clean toothbrush holders and other bathroom fixtures
  • Spot clean all floorings, including carpets and hard surfaces
  • Wash bathroom, toilet, and en-suite floors
  • Polish all mirrors and glass surfaces
  • Clean pipe work in toilets and other areas
  • Dust handrails, radiators, and other fixtures
  • Move mobile furniture, including beds and chairs, and vacuum and dust beneath and behind
  • Wash out metal wastepaper bins
  • Dust and polish furniture and windowsills
  • Wash lino floors
  • Shampoo carpets as requested by the Home Manager
  • Dust light bulbs, curtains, pictures, and fittings
  • Restock toiletries, soaps, and towels when required

Requirements

  • At least 1 year's experience working in a domestic or cleaning role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
