Principal Aerodynamics Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled aerodynamics engineer to lead our aerodynamics team. As a Principal Aerodynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for leading aerodynamic studies, conducting detailed analysis using CFD and other analytical tools, and integrating aerodynamic solutions across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead aerodynamic studies and conduct detailed analysis using CFD and other analytical tools
  • Integrate aerodynamic solutions across various projects
  • Work closely with teams from System Design, Mechanical Design, Simulation, and Guidance to develop high-performance missile systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
  • Collaborate with key external stakeholders to drive forward aerodynamic research and development
Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled aerodynamics engineer with a strong background in aerodynamics and performance analysis. You should have a proven track record of leading task packages and delivering results on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive base salary up to £60,000, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus of approximately £2,500. You will also have the opportunity to accrue up to 15 additional days of leave and enjoy a generous pension scheme with 14% contribution.
