Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Manager to join our team at Barclays. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating operational risks across the bank.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing independent review and challenge of Operational Risk elements across the bank, ensuring compliance with Barclays' Operational Risk Framework, Policies, and Standards.
- Identifying and managing interconnected and emerging risks, analyzing operational risk data, and assessing business processes, controls, and change.
- Oversight and challenge of first-line activities, including Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Risk Events, and attendance at key Risk and Control meetings.
- Providing risk-based input into projects and strategic decisions, and advising senior management on risk-related matters.
- Managing and mitigating risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrating leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience with Operational Risk and control, preferably from a risk, control, audit, or compliance background.
- Knowledge of Retail Banking or Financial Services.
