AV Systems Integration Engineer
Core Objective:
As an AV Systems Integration Engineer, you will be engaged in the programming, commissioning, and realization of exceptional solutions for immersive entertainment initiatives. Your role will involve designing and programming systems that encompass all facets of AV control integration, including show synchronization, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) management, and real-time system integration.
As a key contributor to the team, you will ensure that system attributes, such as network architecture, are appropriately tailored to meet project requirements. You will also supervise the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes, along with training client technical staff.
Key Duties
- Designing AV control systems for immersive entertainment environments, incorporating large-scale projection, Direct-view LED, and advanced audio systems.
- Developing wireframes, HMIs, and graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that align with client specifications and the operational needs of the systems.
- Programming and configuring show control systems, including Alcorn McBride, Medialon, and Q-Sys, while integrating these systems with ride control and show networks.
- Creating network designs that fulfill system demands, collaborating with client networking experts as necessary.
- Drafting functional specifications for control systems to ensure that our proposals and RFP estimates meet performance criteria.
- Developing custom control scripts and modules for cutting-edge AV technology.
- On-site commissioning and integration of systems into attractions during the testing and adjustment phases.
- Training and transitioning systems to technical service teams and system owners.
- Coordinating across multiple time zones to deliver work efficiently, fostering collaboration across diverse cultures.
- Building strong relationships with partners, suppliers, and clients to create additional opportunities for Holovis.
Your Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated technical expertise in managing large-scale projection, large format LED, immersive audio, and AV control systems.
- A proven track record of successful integration of show control systems in AV projects.
- A degree in engineering, electronics, or programming, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid knowledge of programming tools from manufacturers such as Alcorn McBride, Medialon, and Q-Sys.
- Certification such as CTS or CTS-D is advantageous but not mandatory.
