About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to service users with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care required for service users, ensuring it meets Trust timescales.
  • Participate in the setting of quality standards, including monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
  • Promote carer and service user involvement within the service and encourage recovery, discovery, and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's professional code of conduct.
  • Ensure the safe custody and administration of medicines in accordance with all medicine policies.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or other specialism relating to the post, with NMC registration.
  • Experience of in-patient services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Basic level of dealing with service users with complex mental health needs.
