We are seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) programme.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure high-risk and complex buildings within the scope of legislation are compliantly managed and maintained safely, with evidence provided through the creation and continued management of building safety cases.
- Work within the Competency Framework for Building Safety Managers, supporting the Accountable Person as required.
- Ensure golden thread digital information is of a consistent format and kept up to date.
- Lead on the resident engagement strategy, ensuring successful liaison to deliver high-quality works.
- Provide residents, leaseholders, and internal stakeholders with a clear route to raise building or safety-related concerns.
- Oversee the implementation of corrective actions arising from fire risk assessments and audits.
- Ensure on-site data within premise information boxes is accurate and up to date.
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments and best practice, including managing complex installs and upgrades of equipment.
- Work as a team player with the wider compliance and asset team, and engage fully with the development team.
- Lead on the FRA programme and FRA actions, as well as Building Safety.
- Managing large budgets, ensuring expenditure is in line with budget estimates.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain building safety issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to compile detailed reports on building safety issues and present them to senior colleagues.
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation and guidance, building regulations, and technical standards.
- Ability to manage team members, contractors, and consultants.
- Maintaining compliance by ensuring projects are completed in line with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Full UK clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety or equivalent.
- CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management (desirable).
- Able to travel to London on a regular basis.
