About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team at BSG Ecology, a multi-award winning consultancy with a strong reputation for technical ability. As an Ecologist for Renewable Energy Projects, you will play a key role in developing our clients' skills in all aspects of ecology and consultancy through mentoring and a comprehensive internal training programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to develop and implement ecological solutions for renewable energy projects
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to identify potential ecological impacts
- Develop and implement mitigation measures to minimize ecological impacts
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver training programmes for clients
- Stay up-to-date with current and evolving wildlife policy and legislation
Requirements:
- Relevant professional ecological experience (at least 1 year full-time experience working in ecological consultancy)
- A working knowledge of current and evolving wildlife policy and legislation
- Some project management and client liaison skills
- Enthusiasm for ecology and the environment in the UK
- The desire to promote high professional standards in ecology
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport
