Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Mathematics Educator to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment on a long-term basis. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support and guidance in their education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Support students who have been excluded from mainstream education, helping them to reintegrate and achieve academic success.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider staff team, including teaching assistants and behavioural mentors, to develop students' social and emotional skills alongside academic progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to students, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students with challenging behaviour.
  • A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • An understanding of the complexities of working in a PRU setting.
