Tadworth, Surrey, United Kingdom People Source Consulting Full time £32,000

Position:

Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist
This position offers a remarkable opportunity to acquire hands-on training and develop expertise in various facets of the supply chain and procurement sector; overseeing inventory levels, managing incoming and outgoing goods, generating purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors.

This role is dynamic and requires a keen eye for detail, with a focus on prioritizing tasks effectively.

A systematic and pragmatic approach is crucial, as much of the work will be conducted independently.

Additionally, the role involves providing customer support and assisting with sales administration within the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and track supplier orders from initiation to delivery, including the creation of purchase orders, dispatch documentation, and invoices using the Sage 200 System.
• Address incoming inquiries and manage customer/vendor communications.
• Maintain inventory levels, procure supplies, follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery, and communicate updates to the broader organization.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management review.

• Perform various administrative tasks as directed by the department management, including answering phones and greeting visitors.

• Assist the Operations Manager with the transition of new product introductions into full-scale production and collaborate with internal teams to address manufacturing challenges.

• Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and procurement data, insights, and trends in comprehensive reports.
• Ensure accountability for inventory management by conducting regular stock audits and quality assessments.

• Support the packing and shipping of products for clients, including conducting product testing and configuration (when necessary) prior to dispatch, and coordinating collection bookings.

• Aid the Operations team in managing Commercial and Proforma Shipping Invoices.
• Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards, ensuring they are communicated and upheld within the team.
Essential Skills:
• Experience in processing purchase orders and/or sales orders.
• Ability to interpret engineering/technical drawings and familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) is advantageous.
• General educational background, including GCSE qualifications or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Sage Accounting Packages, particularly Sage 200.

• Strong working knowledge of PC applications and the Microsoft Office Suite.
