About the Role

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team in the General Surgical Outpatients department. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring accurate and efficient scheduling and communication with patients and clinicians.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including preparing and distributing documents, and coordinating meetings and events.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Good general standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
