As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of engineering activities on site, ensuring works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  2. Site Management: Conduct surveys, set out works, and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with technical specifications, while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  3. Quality Control: Monitor and review technical designs and drawings to ensure quality control, and proactively identify issues that may cause delays.
  4. Communication and Problem-Solving: Liaise with the project management team, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to manage day-to-day site activities.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress against time and budget, and proactively identify issues that may cause delays, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  1. Education: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on highways, roads, or major infrastructure projects.
  3. Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with National Highways standards and procedures, strong knowledge of construction techniques, setting out, and surveying, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Certifications: A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
