Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team at Downe Primary School. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with SEND in a primary school setting
  • Work collaboratively with qualified teachers and leaders to deliver high-quality education
  • Assist with cover supervisor duties when required
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND or working in a primary school setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
